Lately the game has been freezing after I load or start a new game, or when I press esc to go into the menu. Also the mouse sometimes doesn't work unless I go in and out of the menu a few times for some reason. I've heard more conflicting stuff about Vice City though. The PC Game Wiki for example claims if you lock it to 60 FPS with Nvidia Inspector it " Enables the game to run at 60 FPS while avoiding most glitches." I have used RivaTuner, which I assume works similarly. And it mentions a mod, which it says has some drawbacks, but is an option too.
However, if you are using an external mouse, you may change the weapon in GTA Vice City by using the mouse wheel. Next and Previous Weapon Edit Controls. If you’re used to changing weapons via the keyboard in GTA Vice City, you may alter it by going to the game settings>options>controller setup>redefine controls.
